Admissions Process(2024-2025)
STEP 1: Application
- International students should apply using the designated form for Foreign nationals/NRI/Sponsored candidates available at https://anveshan.geetauniversity.edu.in/international-student-2/.
- Candidates can apply/register online or offline by contacting the International Admission office at international@anveshan.geetauniversity.edu.in and get issued the Offer Letter.
- A registration fee of 200 USD is required, payable via a crossed Bank Demand Draft in favor of Geeta University, payable at New Delhi or direct transfer in account of Geeta University to accept the offer Letter.
STEP 2: Acceptance Letter & Bonafide Letter
- Obtain the Acceptance Letter and Bonafide Letter from the International Cell after after paying registration fee.
STEP 3: VISA Application
- Submit the Offer Letter, Acceptance Letter and Bonafide Letter to the Indian Embassy in your country to obtain a ‘Student/Research VISA’
STEP 4: Admission Reporting
- Report to Geeta University on or before the enrolment date mentioned on the Offer Letter.
- Submit and verify the following documents (original and attested photocopies) with the International Cell:
- Degree/Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination
- Marks list of the qualifying examination
- Original ‘Student/Research VISA’
- Notarized photocopy of the Passport
- Note: Original certificates will be returned immediately after endorsement.
STEP 5: Medical Examination
- Undergo a medical fitness examination and obtain a medical fitness certificate.
- All international students on a ‘Student VISA’ must be tested for HIV as per government rules.
- Obtain recognized medical insurance for the first year (subsequent years will require additional medical insurance fees).
STEP 6: English Proficiency
- Students who studied in a language other than English must have a valid IELTS/TOEFL score.
- If previous studies were not in English, students must take the English Language Foundation Course and pay the associated fee as per the Institute’s structure.
STEP 7: Confirmation of Admission
- Admission is confirmed after verifying original certificates, passing the medical fitness test, and paying required fees.
- Admission may be canceled if the qualifying Degree/Certificate is not recognized by AIU.
- Withdrawal of admissions and refund of fees will be managed as per Geeta University guidelines.
STEP 8: FRRO Registration
- Register with the police at the ‘Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO)’ in Panipat within a week of arrival in India.
- Alternatively, apply online through the e-FRRO portal.
Geeta University Checklist for an International Student (Documents)
- Original certificates and photocopies of proof of qualifications for verification and repository.
- Confirmation for the payment of both the Hostel and Academic fee.
- Student visa endorsed in favour of Geeta University for joining the full-time programme (N/A for NRI and OCI category).
- Equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in respect of your qualifying examination. (To be produced within two months after admission)
- Medical Certificates issued by the competent authority (PRIMSR Hospital).
- Medical Insurance and domestic bank account (International Office would help once you land).
- 10 Recent passport size photographs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EQUIVALENCE CERTIFICATE FROM AIU
- Passport copy (front and back)
- Visa copy (including entry immigration seal)
- Photo ID from Country of Nationality (other than passport)
- Self-attested Photo copies: previous degree certificates
- Self-attested Photo copies : academic transcripts of all degrees
- Self-attested Photo copies: Course completion certificate
- Offer letter from Geeta University
- Fee structure and receipt of current payment made
- Requisition Letter to grant Equivalence certificate
- A Sum of Rs. 12000/- (Rupees Twelve Thousand Only) plus 18% GST extra Total amount 12,000 + 2,160 (GST) = 14,160/- payable through Demand Draft favour of ‘Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi’ or by ECS/RTGS details of which are provided at Page No 3 of evaluation form.

VISA Information for International Students at Geeta University
All international students enrolling in UG/PG programs require a ‘Student VISA’ endorsed to Geeta University for joining full-time courses. No other endorsement is acceptable. The visa should be valid for the prescribed duration of the course and can be obtained after the issuance of an offer of admission. Students wishing to join a research program require a ‘Research VISA’ endorsed to Geeta University. NRI students do not need a visa. Students already enrolled in full-time courses at other institutions do not need a separate visa for joining part-time courses, provided their current visa is valid for the entire duration of the course. International students wishing to undertake research work or join an M.Sc./PhD program must obtain prior security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs and approval from the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This clearance must be on the student visa/research visa endorsed to Geeta University.
