Forensic Science uses scientific tools & technology for criminal justice system. It is an interdisciplinary program that tutors criminal justice experts to solve problems. It was felt to initiate the skill development of Forensic expert, which resulted in the establishment of Forensic Science subject in academics and research. The department places emphasis on field-research, and case-study-based learning. With the surge in demand, many divisions of forensic science are now opening. These include Forensic DNA analysis, Cyber Forensics, Mobile and Network Forensics, Forensic Biology, Forensic Serology, Forensic Ballistics and Explosives, Forensic Entomology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Forensic Medicine, and many more. The department is instrumental for providing international exposure as part of regular teaching. Besides, the curriculum also consists of a set of core requirements along with the free electives.
